The Open Water course built for kids from age 10. Same course, same skills, same theory, but depth capped at 12 m. Beach entry, no boat, no time pressure, fully at the child's pace.

Children aged 10 to 14 who want their first real diving card, at a relaxed pace.

An SSI Junior Open Water certification recognised worldwide, which converts automatically to the adult Open Water at age 15.

Kid-friendly theory
The same content as the Open Water, but explained calmly and at a child's level, with the SSI app and an instructor who takes their time.

First skills on the beach
Beach entry, no boat, in shallow water. The child tries the gear and gets used to breathing underwater with no pressure.

5 dives to 12 m
Spread over a few days, at the child's pace, with depth capped at 12 m and an instructor by their side.

SSI Junior certification
At the end the child receives their SSI Junior Open Water card, recognised worldwide.
What to expect
Your child experiences their first real training, with no rush and plenty of patience. They learn to breathe calmly, move in the water and observe the reef. A big adventure in a sheltered bay, one they'll remember for a long time.

Your certification
Your child earns the SSI Junior Open Water Diver certification, recognised worldwide, with depth capped at 12 m. At age 15 it converts automatically to the full Open Water (to 18 m), with no new course.
Good to know
How deep can my child go?
To 12 m, the limit set for the Junior certification. At 15 it converts automatically to the full Open Water to 18 m.
Do parents need to be there?
Parents are welcome and can stay nearby. While your child dives, you can snorkel or simply wait on the beach.
What if my child is anxious?
We go entirely at their pace, one instructor per family. There is no time pressure and nothing is forced.
What's the exact age range?
From 10 to 14. For ages 8 to 10, the Bubblemaker in shallow water is the right start.
